Dear Podficcer Letter

Hello! Thank you for thinking of me for a podfic!

First and foremost, I want you to record what you're excited about. I can go into things fandom-blind and still enjoy a good story. I like podfics of all lengths and styles, from the shortest of filks to the longest of multivoices.

Rating:

I enjoy any rating of story you'd like to read! I love gen fluffy things, weird poetry, and straight up porn as well.

Do not want:

• Over-editing to get rid of breaths. Let me hear you breathe! I once zeroed out all of my breaths, and the resulting fic still sounds weird to my ears.
• Extreme changes in volume (some is fine--the spice of life, even! But extreme changes make me flinch)
• Content: please no:
  • underage (by which I mean overtly romantic or sexual situations between minors and adults, or explicitly sexual situations between minors under 16 (romance is fine for both parties under the age of 16))
  • student/teacher dynamics
  • incest
  • overt animal abuse

My favorite things/things I very much enjoy in my podfics!

• editing weirdnesses (have you been looking for an excuse to try that new effect? try it on me!)
• I enjoy friends having fun together, so if you want to do a commentary read with a friend, that would be amazing!
• not!fics, especially ones that are conversations

• background music (especially swing-era jazz, I have terminal Ella Fitzgerald brain)
• soundscaping
• just straight-down-the-middle readings as well
• re-pods
